The footballing genius of Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi has been captured like you've never seen before, in this new adidas advert named 'The New Speed of Light'.
Exploring the moves that make the four-time FIFA Ballon d'Or winner the best player in the world, the latest LED technology portrays in intricate detail, the secret behind Messi's success through the use of light.
The 90 second film captures and analyses Messi's movement, to reveal the secret of his movement on the pitch as well as highlight the light in motion design of the new adizero F50 Messi boot, that the Barca star will be wearing for club and country during the first part of the 2013/14 season.
Wearing a custom-made LED suit and hood, with hundreds of individual LEDs sewn by hand into adidas TechFit gear, Messi was filmed at 1000 frames per second using a phantom camera.
The end result is quite simply breathtaking, and highlights the way that Messi carries himself in a match, utilising his slight frame and immense skill set with a football, often to devastating effect.
